Child abuse charges for parents who had children riding in rear of truck on I-80

A 37-year-old man is facing felony child abuse charges because his wife and two of his kids were riding in the back of a moving van. Brad Behnke and his wife Jeanna Behnke are both facing charges after last Friday's incident. Jeanna Behnke is charged with child neglect. The truck Behnke was driving on I-80 was stopped because someone reported children were riding in the back. The Nebraska state trooper found a 6-year-old girl and a 4-year-old boy sitting on a mattress in the back of the truck with Jeanna Behnke. The trooper smelled marijuana, and Jeanna Behnke admitted smoking the drug.
