Adams County Cemetery Walk Returns During Cottonwood Market Days

The Adams County Historical Society and Hastings Community Theatre will present their third annual Adams County Cemetery Walk at Hastings' Parkview Cemetery on October 18th, 19th and 20th, in conjunction with Cottonwood Market Days. Guests will follow guides to six different grave sites where interpreters will portray six of Hastings well-known and not-so-well-known citizens' stories. Tours start at 5:30 and 6 pm on Friday, October 18th; 3:30, 4, 4:30, 5 and 5:30 pm on Saturday, October 19th; and 4, 4:30 and 5 pm on Sunday, October 20th. For Saturday and Sunday tours at 3:30 and 4:30 pm, free bus transportation will be provided by Good Samaritan Village between Cottonwood Market Days in Downtown Hastings and Parkview Cemetery. The bus will pick up and drop off at “Cottonwood Court” – the intersection of 4th Street and Denver Ave. – starting at 3 and 4 pm. The final bus will depart the cemetery at the conclusion of the 4:30 pm tour. Guests are asked to check in at the front gate of Parkview Cemetery at 13th and Elm Streets in Hastings, fifteen minutes before their scheduled tour. Tickets are $12 per person with all proceeds going to support the Adams County Historical Society and the Hastings Community Theatre. Reservations are limited to 20 people per tour, so guests are asked to make reservations by calling (402) 463-5838 or emailing achs@inebraska.com.
