Johanns pushes for pipeline approval|
U.S Senator Mike Johanns says the TransCanada Keystone XL pipeline will bring economic growth to the State of Nebraska and the rest of the Nation, as well as increasing our energy supply from a friendly neighbor. Johanns is among those in Washington pushing Barrack Obama to approve the permit for the project to begin. Johanns did admit, he was originally against the pipeline project, when their first proposed route went straight through the Sandhills and the Ogallala Aquifer. Johanns said he changed his tune after work was done to find an alternate route, and is pleased Governor Heineman signed off on that route earlier this week. Senator Johanns says he will now do his part on Capitol Hill to get the project moving.
