Democrats charge Fischer with double standard

Nebraska Democrats accuse Republican US Senate candidate Deb Fischer of a double standard. Nebraska Democratic Party Chairman-elect Vince Powers charges that Fischer wants to cut government spending, except when she received subsidized rent for her cattle farm, and advocates restricting medical malpractice lawsuits while filing suit against a neighbor in a land dispute. Powers refers to a lawsuit filed by her husband and her against a neighbor in a dispute about a property line and 100 acres the two shared. The Fischer’s lost the lawsuit in 1997.
