New home for Hastings College president purchased|
The new president of Hastings College will be moving into newly purchased home in June. The college board of trustees approved the purchase on Friday. The deal is expected to close on May 30. The new home for President Don Jackson and his wife, Beverlee, is right across the street from the college's Kiewit Gymnasium. The Adams County Assessor's Office says the house's assessed value was more than $96,200. Board of trustees chairman Hal Dittmer says the house will let the Jacksons be active members of the campus community. The two-story brick house was built in 1931 and is less than a block from Don Jackson's campus office.
