Fire alarms sound at police station

It’s not often that the 911 center has to call the Fire Department on themselves, but that’s what happened last night in Hastings. Around 9pm last night, the fire alarms went off at the Hastings Police Department and officers were smelling something burning. The Hastings Fire Department showed up and luckily, according to fire department radios, found a burnt up belt in a heating unit. The unit was shut down and firefighters were able to leave after about a half hour.
